MSSC struggle report

LAST DAYS' STRUGGLE REPORT (Seoul, 7.21)

First of all: today is the 250th “birth”DAY of MSSC (Myeong-dong Sit-in Struggle Collective). Congratulations/祝賀!
While most of the MSSC members are organizing in the home regions our solidarity with the struggle of Korean comrades is continuing. Last Saturday one representative made a solidarity visit in Pung-dong (we already wrote about their struggle here). But while his Korean comrade – she made the proposal for the visit - had a long discussion meeting with the activists there, he just fell asleep (embarrassing, but just a sign of to much work every day and night) and just waked up by the residents for meals. Thanx a lot, it was very restful! And we'll come back again!
Saturday night

was used for a kind of propaganda for our struggle (Sunday and Monday night the same). Many people there were very interested in our activities and several good discussions were held. After the weekend - ha, Saturday there was also "1"人시위, a report and pictures you can see here - since July 7 the “One Man Rally” is continuing. Monday, as you can see, it was a kind of multi protest.

Because of the “provoking” sentence (Roh Moo-hyun RESIGNATION!!) several interesting discussions resulted, but with no special incidents. Anyway, if anyone wants to join, just call 016-555-9431 (박명호).
Monday the first time since weeks “Every Monday Solidarity Concert” were held in our immediate neighborhood. Here the famous singer Park Seong-hwan (“F… USA”) performed some of his songs. After the concert some of our Nepalese comrades, some of our supporters and he had a nice getting-together.

Two of our Nepalese comrades and he had to learn, that they are exactly in the same age and they made friends with each other. Here you can watch music videos with Park Seong-hwan (August 2002) and a short documentation about Monday night.
We already reported about the arrests in Ansan last week (read this, last paragraph). 49 activists are now released, but three still in custody and will face trial. Here you can see a short movie (statements of the prisoners in the police station and the 7.16’s activities outside). SHOW YOUR SOLIDARITY! FIGHT FOR THEIR RELEASE!
Here just another bad news: on Tuesday immigration officers arrested three ETU-MB members in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong. Just it will be exciting when the other comrades will find out that ETU-MB membership is not protecting against arrests and deportation (quite the reverse!)… and that there is only one safe placein S. Korea!

RELEASE ALL MIGRANT WORKERS FROM DETENTION CENTERS! FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS IN S. KOREA!
LET’S FIGHT TOGETHER FOR A WORLD WITHOUT EXPLOITATION AND OPPRESSION!
ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE, ONLY IF YOU WANT AND FIGHT FOR IT!
