"The War on Iraq – Looking into the Eyes of the Enemy"

Lorna Tychostup, Senior Editor, Chronogram Magazine

A multi-media PowerPoint presentation inclusive of over two hundred photos, question- and-answer period, panel discussions and/or photo exhibit.

Tychostup writes: "I have just arrived home from Baghdad, where I lived for three weeks among the people of Iraq, who were facing the possibility of war. While there I witnessed first-hand and documented an incredible people bracing themselves for massive suffering and destruction. The American press has failed to provide a face to this supposed 'enemy' of five million people in Baghdad alone, who are horribly afflicted by this war. The Iraqi people are generous, kind, loving and very hard workers. Each and every Iraqi person welcomed me with such intensity, as if my meager presence in their country could stop the flood of bombs that was readying itself to rain down upon their lives. Each and every one of them was visibly exhausted from living under the constant threat of potential bombardment by weapons of death. It is my intention to provide factual information, tell stories and show the faces of the Iraqi people."
